Remote Consulting Terms & Conditions
SYB’s Services are provided by consultants. These consultants are Electromagnetic Radiation Specialists, certified as such by the Building Biology Institute. Each consultant may have additional qualifications and certifications, in areas such as nutrition and air quality, depending on the individual consultant.
These consultants are not medical physicians. Any advice offered during consulting sessions does not constitute medical advice, nor do the Services replace medical care or treatment. For medical advice, consult a licensed physician.
Nor are these consultants licensed electricians.
Neither SYB nor its consultants will be held liable for failure to diagnose or treat an illness, nor will they be liable for failure to prevent future illness.
Services are booked for specific amounts of time. Should a customer require additional time, the scheduled session will end, as scheduled, and the customer may purchase and schedule another block of consulting time.
The Services are conducted remotely, and the consultants do not have direct, physical access to the customer’s location. This prevents the consultant from taking actual direct measurements of the customer’s environment. Consultant will provide, in a workmanlike manner, professional advice and information to the best of his/her ability given the basic limitations of the format of the Services.
Consulting sessions are provided using Zoom. Customers may choose to participate with audio and video, or audio only. Access to a computer, tablet or smart phone that can run Zoom is required to consume and engage in the Services.
All sessions are recorded for the convenience of the customer. Customers may download as a file by the customer once the consulting session is complete. All recordings are deleted by SYB within 48 (forty eight) hours following the conclusion of the session.
These recordings are for the customer’s personal use, and may not be shared with any other person, may not be published, nor made public, without express written permission from SYB.
Cancellations & Missed Sessions
Once a consulting session is booked, the assigned consultant allocates time in their calendars– time that may not be scheduled by anyone else. If a customer needs to cancel a session, the customer may do so at least 24 hours in advance by contacting SYB customer support. If a customer cancels, s/he shall receive a full refund, less a $10 fee. If a customer misses the session, the session is non-refundable.
Customer hereby agrees to hold harmless and indemnify SYB and its consultants against any and all claims, legal actions, orders, warrants, judgments, demands, liabilities, losses, depositions, summonses, lawsuits, costs, fines, liens, levies, penalties, damages, interests, and expenses whatsoever, both absolute and contingent, as are due and as might become due, now existing and as might hereafter arise, and as might be suffered-incurred by, as well as imposed on, customer for any reason, purpose, and cause whatsoever arising from customer’s application or use of Services.
